After General Motors and Ford, Chrysler, the last of the Big Three of Detroit to reach an agreement with the United Auto Workers union.
The new four-year contract, which is the first since 2009 and the Fiat rescue of Chrysler case, which covers 26,000 workers at Chrysler and the UAW will create 2,100 new jobs, with Chrysler has pledged to invest 4.5 billion U.S. $ the value of its U.S. plants.
"This agreement is the latest in a remarkable transformation of Chrysler," said UAW Vice President General Holiefield. Chrysler and the UAW declined to comment on the details of the new contract, which still must be ratified by UAW members.
The transaction is expected, however, similar to those of Ford and GM UAW. It is probably less profitable, even though, as unlike the first two, which is transmitted to profits in 2010, Chrysler reported a loss.
