eBay Find: 1967 Jeep Jeepster Commando Convertible C101



Now here's something you do not see very often: A 1967 Jeep Commando Jeep Rochester convertible, which was sold on eBay. But what about a little history before seeing the "deal" with this find is eBay?

Willys-Overland Motors introduced the Jeepster name tag at the end of World War II as the company sought to create a machine, a bridge between trucks and cars. The original Jeepster produced from 1948-1950.

After Kaiser Willys-Overland Motors absorbed in the mid-1950s, the company handed over the plate in 1966 with the new Jeep Commando Rochester turned out to be more effective than the original model. He was finally offered in three body styles including pickup, convertible and wagon.

The Jeepster remained in production until after the American acquisition of Kaiser Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1970, although it shortened its name to Command from 1972 to 1973, when it was replaced by full size Cherokee.

This particular Jeep Commando Rochester is a model 1967-era convertible Kaiser. It combines the optional 225-cubic inch "Dauntless V6" produce 160hp instead of the basis of "Hurricane" inline-four which generated a meager 75 ponies, with an all wheel drive.

According to the seller, the vehicle characteristics correspond to the chassis and engine numbers, and has been fully restored to its original condition, including exterior paint on Teal Teal and White interior. It also comes with the original soft top rear window glass and optional tires "Continental" spare wheel cover and lid.
