Renault Increasing Production at Its Plants at Brazil 100,000 Units in 2013

Renault Brazil is currently the third market, surpassed only by France and Germany. This year, the French company Renault sold 133,158 cars and 30,672 Renault and Nissan light commercial vehicles, and according to its CEO, Carlos Ghosn, with Russia and India, it is "one of its three main markets a priority. "

Ghosn visited the Renault plant in Curitiba and announced the group's plan to invest € 200 million (U.S. $ 267 million) and add 1,000 jobs to increase production to 100,000 units by 2013.

"In 2011, Brazil will become the second largest market for Renault. Brazil is one of the pillars of our international growth strategy: more than a quarter of the volume growth in Brazil. If we achieve this goal, we must increase our capacity manufacturing, and our plant in Curitiba chose to do this, "said Carlos Ghosn.

Ayrton Senna complex in Curitiba, which manufactures passenger cars, commercial vehicles and engines, currently produces over 280 000 vehicles annually by South American markets and other places.

Models, which are produced in Curitiba are the Sandero, which is also its best-selling Sandero Stepway, Logan and Mégane Grand Tour II. From October 7, Duster sport utility vehicle is added to the Renault line-up of Brazil.

Despite achieving an increase of 20.3% from January to late August and is the fifth largest automaker in the country behind Fiat, VW, GM and Ford, Renault Brazil wants to increase its share in the local market by 5% today at 8% in 2016.
