
BMW's legendary 3.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder is gradually giving way to a new generation 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four of the company.
One of the first models of the Bavarian American to receive the force-fed to the power source, code-named N20, the Roadster Z4 sDrive28i, which Edmunds took over the local Dyno testing.
Germans rate N20 power to 240 in 5000 and 260 lb.-ft. of peak torque delivered from 1250 to 4800 rpm.
Attached to the test rollers, four-cylinder crank impressive power from 233 to 5350 rpm and 249 lb-ft at 4450 rpm. Not bad considering that the output is measured at the rear wheels. Video below.
