BMW X3 EfficientDynamics Lounge Highlights



BMW has released information about what it presents to the Motor Show 2010 in Paris. In addition to the first World Series Coupe Concept 6, 2011 X3 SUV and 5-Series Touring is a new engine, AWD, and the technology telephone 5-Series and X3 Efficient Dynamics.

The Bavarian automaker is touting the standard Servotronic electromechanical steering (which adjusts the steering response as a function of vehicle speed) with optional Dynamic Drive Control, adaptive headlights, HUD and "from above" back-up camera available across the range 2011 X3.

X3 EfficientDynamics variant of stop-start technology and six-cylinder engine / automatic transmission combo eight reports is also shown, but they are not available in the U.S. and Canada.

BMW will also introduce several new engines for its latest range 5 Series, including a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder 525d produces 204 hp (150 kW) and the 528i with 258 hp (190 kW) for the Touring (wagon). A twin-turbo inline six-cylinder diesel 535d resonance with an impressive 300 hp (220 kW) will also be offered in two body styles.

All-wheel drive derivative of 5-Series Sedan and Touring xDrive called - which is available on both the 535th and 530d engine - is officially launched (again, not available in the U.S. and Canada). xDrive is available as an option for all the Gran Turismo and the 550th sedan model only.

The Series 5 also have the option of a hands-free tailgate and ConnectDrive vs Q2 2011, which allows integration of Blackberry and iPhone. Now you can read and dictate e-mails from the comfort of the driver's seat, while rear seat passengers to enjoy the wireless Internet. No word on pricing information, of course.

New accessories for the M3 is focused in the areas of aerodynamics and the interior, with M-Sport packages for the 5 Series sedan / Touring and X3 SUV to debut in Paris.
