Toyota Turns the iQ Into the Pure-Electric FT-EV III Concept for the Tokyo Show



Once again at the forefront of hybrid technology, Toyota will also look at electric cars with the intention to introduce a new series of battery-powered models within the next year, including the RAV4 EV.

In the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, which opens on November 30, the Japanese see a pure electric version of the mini-Martin Toyota / Scion / iQ with Aston III FT-EV Concept.

Toyota said a production version of the appropriate study for short distance will be introduced in the market in 2012 with more details will be announced at a later date.

III, the FT-EV is powered by an electric motor, which draws energy from a lithium ion battery. According to Toyota, zero-emission IQ achieved an estimated range of driving 105 km (65 miles) to a fully charged battery.
