New Subaru BRZ Sports Coupe

After the unveiling of the Toyota 86 (GT 86 in Europe) on Saturday, it's time for Subaru to take the stage with the presentation of his version of the sports car jointly developed rear wheel as a production cut.

The new ZRE was unveiled less than two weeks after exposure Subaru STI-badged model concept at Auto Show in Los Angeles, and just before sports coupe made its first public appearance in the spotlight at auto show Tokyo 2011 on Wednesday, November 30

To the surprise of no one, producing a useful concept for BRZ lose Aero Kit, with larger rear wing and carbon fiber parts, but do not have to worry about as it is almost certain that the division offers STI Subaru has the same components or similar for an alternate time.

Although we knew from the start that BRZ Subaru, Toyota Scion and the next 86 FR-S have all been developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru, we had some hope that the cars may be different in appearance and taste. As you can see for yourself, it never happened - at least with ZRE and the 86th

From this first set of images, we see that the exterior styling changes between the BRZ and 86 are only limited to the front bumper re-sculpted design alloy wheels, trim wings and graphics rear lights (although the shape remains the same). We have no photos of the interior, but we're willing to bet that there will be no appreciable difference between the two cars.

The same applies to mechanical equipment and share ZRE 86 of Subaru's 2.0-liter flat-four engine jet technology Toyota "D-4S" direct injection and port, which has an output of 200 horsepower and 205Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission with short throw lever or optional six-speed automatic with shift paddles on the steering wheel while the ZRE also gets an electronic stability control specially adapted. The basic model will go on 17-inch rims wrapped around 215/45R17 rubber.

We could continue with the dimensions and configuration of suspension, but we would be practical to repeat what we said on the 86th in fact, think ahead, we could have just swapped the words "Toyota" with "Subaru" and "86 "with" ZRE "and be done with it. It is too late now ...
