GM Confirms New 2013 Chevrolet Colorado United States



This is only, General Motors has officially confirmed plans to build and sell a new version of the Chevrolet Colorado pickup in the United States.

Last week, Detroit-based car manufacturer has launched the production version of the new Colorado pickup truck sized in Thailand and has plans to sell in other parts of the world including Australia, where it will be marketed under the name Holden.

"The new Chevrolet Colorado is producing a lot of emotions, as it begins to start in Thailand," said Chris Perry, director of global marketing and strategy for Chevrolet. "We believe that the ', ability to design and fuel efficiency of new Colorado makes it attractive to U.S. customers."

The general said the product details, time, price and location of production will be announced at a later date. However, in late September, the company unveiled plans to build a new midsize pickup truck with no name at its plant in Missouri, pointing to the new Colorado.

In Thailand, the world's largest market for medium trucks are offered in Colorado 2WD and 4WD on a regular basis, and extended cab models with a crew cabin has two engines petrol and diesel engines.

GM said its engineers' trucks adapted to local needs "in key markets.

"For example, Chevrolet Colorado, the chief engineer Robert Rempel and his team lived in Thailand for the development of Colorado," said Brad Merkel, Global Executive line of vehicles. "They are immersed in the highly competitive truck market and see how the Thai people use their vehicles and driving conditions they experience.

"A similar development will precede the launch of the truck in the U.S. market," said Merkel. "We believe that U.S. customers will be satisfied with the results."

Locate the new U.S. Colorado to debut in North America either show or as a final production at a car show to come, perhaps as early as November in Los Angeles or Detroit in January 2012.
