JAC China To Build A New Automobile Plant In Brazil



Chinese carmaker JAC Motors on Friday announced a new agreement with the Brazilian group the operator CHS build a new plant in Brazil, northeastern Bahia state, its first outside its home market.

JAC originally planned to invest $ 600 million building a plant in Brazil, but canceled the project when the government raised taxes on cars with less than two-thirds of domestic content in its efforts to protect jobs premises.

With the SHC, which currently has 40 dealerships in the country and JAC will seek to improve this number 200 in the next three years to ignore the problem. Reported by only 20% of $ 510 million investment dollars will be provided by JAC Group of SHC.

The plant will have an annual capacity of 100,000 vehicles and will be operational in 2014. This is not the first plant was built by a Chinese manufacturer in the automotive market in the world's fourth largest: Geely has begun working on its own plant in Brazil in July.
