
Finally, Honda has already stopped beating around the bush, and came to the attention NSX successor, revealing more details on the next sports car.
The result: the new NSX comes, it will be a true sports car style of the original (ie, light and easy to drive), will the next generation of hybrid technology, and its release is imminent and it could sell much earlier than anyone suspected.
Director of Honda R & D, Toshihiro MIBE, confirmed by the British magazine Autocar that the company already employed by the flagship sports car modeled after the original NSX.
The news comes just weeks after the CEO of Honda Takanobu Ito said that the new NSX is indeed in development, but would be very different from its lightweight nature of its predecessor.
Toshihiro statement does not necessarily contradict his boss: "The President Ito mentioned a new NSX, and you look at the R & D," he said.
"We're at a point where we can consider that the next generation of electric and hybrid vehicles. It would be an interesting project: electric or hybrid vehicles can be as fun and economical. I can not say more," said Toshihiro.
According to reports, a thinly veiled concept version of the new Honda (Acura USA) NSX will be unveiled at next month's Tokyo Motor, the production model on sale next year.
The same sources said, however, that the schedule may change as a Honda, with all the Japanese automakers, still faces supply problems after the earthquake of March, despite the capacity of its plants in Canada again normalcy.
