A version of show car sedan Cruze news will be the star attraction in the Chevy this year's Paris Motor Show, which begins on September 30. While GM uses "show car", the term, five-door hatchback version of the Cruze is almost ready to produce at least a show Bling-ground, such as blue dye in the headlights, larger wheels and lights LED daytime running.
Keeping the front and body lines stretched sedan model, the hatch nicely decorated and furnished with a sweeping roof and cut a single and back-end processing. GM has not released photos of the interior, but no changes are expected in four-door sedan.
According to the automaker, load capacity for the sedan Cruze is close to 400 liters and 60/40 split rear seats have.
The range of engines available will probably be identical to the sedan that is currently offered in Europe with two petrol engines, a 141HP 1.6-liter 113HP and a 1.8-liter and a 123HP 2.0-liter turbo diesel.
The new Cruze five-door hatchback goes on sale across Europe in the middle of 2011 with prices announced closer to launch date. More markets will get the car shortly after, but GM has not said if North America will be one of them.
Wayne Brannon, president and CEO of Chevrolet Europe, consider adding a hatchback version of the region will increase sales of the car.
"Backing Hatch play a crucial role in many markets," said Brannon. "The compact segment in Europe is about 4.8 million units a quarter of the total market, with tailgate which is about 65% of this amount. We therefore expect to see greater activity in several regions where there has sent a signal that Chevrolet is now a major player in public in Europe. "
The Cruze hatch is one of the four world Chevrolet in the Paris Salon and join the new Orlando MPV, SUV Captiva and the rise of the new Aveo.
