New 2012 Honda CR-V Breaks Cover at Los Angeles Auto Show



Making its world premiere as a final production at Auto Show in Los Angeles in 2011 is now the all-new fourth-generation Honda CR-V, which will be available in the States as a 2012 model, December 15 and the rest of the world next year.

New technologies include Pandora Internet radio interface, a reading of texts and the response function via the new Intelligent Multi-Information Display (I-MI) on models equipped with Honda navigation system.

CR-V is a model of the standard 5-seater "bends easy", 60/40 split rear seat. According to Honda, there are 39.3 cm of headroom (LX model) and the number of passengers increased by 104.1 cu-ft. O 0.3 Cu-ft. (LX model).

Under the skin, the 2012 model introduced an updated 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder, 185 horsepower and 163 lb-ft. of torque (up to 5 hp and 2 lb-ft in the previous engine) together with a standard 5-speed automatic transmission.

In addition, in 2012 CR-V may be available, a completely new Real-time All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) and the intelligent control system.

According to Honda, returns the new version of the FWD CR-V fuel economy EPA-estimated 23 city, 31 highway and 26 mpg combined - an increase of 2 / 3 / 2 mpg on the previous model.

Mode AWD is rated at 22 city, 30 highway and 25 mpg combined - an increase of 1 / 3 / 2 mpg compared with the 2011 CR-V AWD.
