2012 Jaguar XF Facelift Makes World Premiere at New York Auto Show



The new model year carries nutrients and XF XFR Jaguar sedans, which have been revealed today at the world premiere of New York Auto Show. The British firm has rival BMW 5-Series was redesigned front and rear bodywork, with some subtle changes and for certain markets, especially in Europe, the introduction of a new four-cylinder turbo diesel.

Outside, a Jaguar XF tried to put in line with the new XJ, although some may see common themes with the original C-XF, especially in the front with the headlights and new designs incorporating thinner LED daytime running lights arranged in a characteristic signature Jaguar "J-Blade."

The 2012 XF benefits from revisions to the grille fenders, hood and front incorporating new triangular side vents, while Jaguar has also added more LED taillights tail light full stop and turn functions signal. In addition, the trunk lid trim has been redesigned. XFR bumpers and alloy wheels complete new style exterior makeover.

Inside, the changes are more subtle with the XF to have a new steering wheel, revised seats, custom indicators, and an optional 1200 Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound System.

In North America, continues in 2012 with the XF range, which includes an existing engine 385ch 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, a 470HP 5.0-liter V8 compressor and a turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 with 510HP to XFR.

In Europe and other markets, however, is the introduction of the Jaguar 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel AJ-i4D is a further development of the unit of Ford Land Rover Freelander. Oil burner puts out 190HP and 450 nm of peak torque, and is associated with a new 8-speed automatic.

Jaguar says that with this engine, the XF has reached 60 mph (96 km / h) in 8.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 140 mph (225 km / h) while returning to the United Kingdom a 52.3mpg (equivalent to 43 mpg or 6 U.S. lt/100 5.4 km) on the EU combined cycle, making it the most affordable Jaguar ever. According to the manufacturer, it emits 149g/km of CO2 and Euro Stage V compliant.
