Should Chrysler LLC be Troubled with Fiat 500's Sales in the USA?

When the Fiat Team – Chrysler LLC partnership first declared programs to take the Fiat 500 to the U.S. industry, it had thought to provide around 50,000 motors in the first season –a extremely beneficial variety given that the BMW Team marketed 47,050 MINIs of which 22,922 were hardtop hatchbacks in the U.S. through September this season.

In the same amount time, Fiat provided 15,826 cases of its popular fabricated location car. A current post on CNN's Bundle paper claims that while "it may be too beginning to telephone the 500 a fall shorter, a bad begin has forged a darkness over CEO Sergio Marchionne's fantastic programs to grow in the U.S."

But if you take a better look at what the two designs currently have to provide in the States, it's somewhat illegal to evaluate the 500s first season of revenue with the full MINI selection.

The BMW Group-owned model has a array that currently involves six designs such as the hatchback, sports car, Clubman, Countryman cross-over, Car and the Bob Cooper Will work, whereas the Fiat 500 is provided in two primary styles, the tin-top hatchback and the in some measure soft-top 500C.

That will soon modify with the arrival of the manlier/sportier 500 Abarth that is planned to first appearance at the L.A. Vehicle Display this 30 days.

Moreover, one should also take into account the truth that Fiat re-entered the U.S. industry after breaking it near to 30 in the past (and with all the bags that went with it) with a products that is not as new as some would like to believe since the 500 has been available in European countries since 2007.

Laura Soave, brain of the Fiat model in South North america, has said that another explanation for arriving shorter of the preliminary 50,000 revenue aim for this season are the waiting in starting new shops. Up until May, Fiat had started out 100 shops in the States, such as about 30 in September. The businesses purpose is to have 130 by the end of 2011.

The way we see it, the challenge is more with Fiat's extremely beneficial focuses on (something all too popular on the earth of the Fiat Group) than the revenue themselves.

What we will acknowledge with the post on Bundle Magazine is that Fiat's average advertising work depart a lot to be preferred. The advertising offering Jennifer Lopez are not only more centered on the artist than the car itself, but fall shorter to make a relationship between the two while also offending men purchasers.

Chrysler LLC and UAW Reach an Agreement over New Contract

After General Motors and Ford, Chrysler, the last of the Big Three of Detroit to reach an agreement with the United Auto Workers union.

The new four-year contract, which is the first since 2009 and the Fiat rescue of Chrysler case, which covers 26,000 workers at Chrysler and the UAW will create 2,100 new jobs, with Chrysler has pledged to invest 4.5 billion U.S. $ the value of its U.S. plants.

"This agreement is the latest in a remarkable transformation of Chrysler," said UAW Vice President General Holiefield. Chrysler and the UAW declined to comment on the details of the new contract, which still must be ratified by UAW members.

The transaction is expected, however, similar to those of Ford and GM UAW. It is probably less profitable, even though, as unlike the first two, which is transmitted to profits in 2010, Chrysler reported a loss.

Change Of Plans For Chrysler Group, Will Remove The Duplicate, Referring To The U.S. Delta

Brewing continues on the product plan Fiat - Chrysler LLC alliance. The latest news on the Jeep and Alfa Romeo brands offered to detail the group CEO Sergio Marchionne Chrysler LLC on new strategy.

In an interview with Automotive News, Marchionne said the company has revised its Project Genesis plan that was introduced in 2008, when Chrysler was still under the ownership of Cerberus Capital Management.

The two key elements of the plan of Genesis is the merger of the four brands of Chrysler Group dealers, including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram under one roof (with some exceptions), and remove the two products are the result of the badge engineering, including the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan.

Regarding the first part of the plan, Sergio Marchionne, said last week, 90 percent of Chrysler dealers in the United States in 2324 were the sale of four brands.

The second part of Chrysler LLC plan will eliminate duplication.

"We can not have the same type of vehicle in the showroom, because the consumer is not stupid," said Sergio Marchionne. "We will create confusion and conflict in the showroom."

Therefore, in future, the group offers only a van, Chrysler Town & Country, and a midsize sedan, the Chrysler 200 replacement that may or may not keep the same name.

Dodge Grand Caravan minivan will replace the Avenger sedan model with a single mid-size crossover in 2013. Next Chrysler 200 and Dodge crossover midsize be built on a common platform for Fiat.

"A cross Dodge line to cover this segment of another person to cover this segment," said Sergio Marchionne.

In addition, Dodge also offers a smaller, compact crossover due later in 2014 and a model four-door compact sedan to replace the gauge, which is scheduled to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2012

Marchionne said New automatic Chrysler will sell a "kind of sedan" based on the same platform as the Dodge compact sedan and will be sold in Europe as a Lancia, suggesting that the Delta (either in its current form or a new version).

Finally, Chrysler and Fiat Group CEO, revealed that although the previous notification in November 2009 on the development of a new line of models based Fiat subcompact to compete with the likes of Sonic Chevrolet, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta, the company will not go ahead with this plan.

"Our assessment is that the subcompacts have limited jurisdiction," said Marchionne said the company still plans an introduction to Canada and Mexico, but not the United States

"I can present them to Canada and Mexico [from] other places in the world, but I never the center of the United States as the biggest driver of volumes. That will not happen. "
