Sights and Sounds of the New Toyota 86 from First JDM Test Drive



Our coverage of the production version of what we came to know that the FT-86 as a concept, but Toyota has decided to appoint the BT 86 for Europe and only 86 'in its home market in Japan, continues with two new videos depicting the rear wheel drive sports car in action.

Toyota is very optimistic about '86 ', which describes it as a "totally driver-focused sports car, designed to find the fundamental joys of the automobile."

New Toyota GT 86 Sports Coupe with 2.0-liter Engine Officially Revealed in Production Guise



The hopes of the most anticipated (and teased, we can add ..) sports car of the year, the production version of the Toyota FT-86 2 +2 coupe, finished as the Japanese automaker was released with all the juicy details before the world premiere of the car at the Tokyo Motor Show on 30 November.

In Europe, the new Toyota will be called the GT 86 in tribute to the legacy of the Japanese GT cars and especially the Corolla GT (or Levin) AE86, which inspired its creation. The Japanese version of the internal market will be called with reason 86.

GT 86 is the result of a joint Toyota and Subaru development program that will create two additional models, the Global Subaru ZRE, which will also debut in Tokyo next week to cut production and the North American market, the Scion FR-S.

All three cars share the same platform and mechanical equipment, including the Subaru flat-four sources, with only minor differences between the two styles.

History of GT 86 began in October 2009 with the unveiling of the FT-86 concept first in Tokyo and was followed closely by a loan production FT-86 II Concept at Geneva Motor in 2011 this past March.

The exterior design of the GT-86 is what we would best be described as more "Fast & Furious" the original FT-86 concept, which made sense thinner, simpler and generally more European in it - but it had some thing to expect to see after the second iteration of the FT-86.

Under the hood, you'll find new Subaru horizontally opposed, naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine upgraded with Toyota D-4S direct injection technology, delivers 200PS (197bhp / min to 7000 and the maximum torque of 205Nm (£ 151.2 ft.) at 6600 rpm.

The standard six-speed manual short-throw lever or optional six-speed automatic, which can be controlled with a shovel mounted on the steering wheel moves, driving the rear wheels through a differential.

Alfa Romeo Spider 4C Representation: If The Fiat Group To Build It?



You know there is much interest in a model independent designers begin to imagine the different versions and body styles of a car not yet in production.
