Suzuki Puts a Teensy-Weensy Boot on the New Swift for India

Different markets, different needs and different tastes. While the rest of the world is content with the 3- and 5-door body styles of the Suzuki Swift, in India, the Japanese company along with its local partner Maruti has also been offering a sedan version under the Dzire nameplate (apparently, a "hip" misspelling of the word "desire") since 2008.

The presentation of the latest generation of the Swift hatchback in late 2010 brought the development of a new Swift Dzire, a test drive version of which was caught on camera by a reader of Indianautosblog, a couple of weeks (if not days) before the official launch.

We don't have any official information in our hands yet, but it looks like Suzuki has kept the same wheelbase as the hatch simply extending the rear overhang and adding a tiny boot.

While the Swift hatch is a good-looking supermini, we can't say the same about the Dzire as the result is somewhat cartoonish – and that's probably an understatement.

Suzuki's designers also made some mild changes to the front grille and bumper design, while the engine lineup is expected to be carried over from the Swift hatchback.

But Jaguar is preparation to present it another try, now with an property style using the mid-size XF, with which it will go against the BMW 5-Series Visiting and the Mercedes A6 Auparavant.

Oddly, Jaguar wants us to know about the car that will be called XF Sportbrake well before its generate and has already set up a specific Tweets consideration where it publicized these two "spy" images of the property with 50 % its shape included in swirly camouflage.

The images disclose a faintly sloping roofline with a spoiler linked at the back, while this indicates that the XF Sportbrake may also get a wrap-around back window. And for those of you questioning, the model was installed with bogus add-on longest tail lights.

The more realistic edition of the Indian business top quality XF line will have the same actual powerplant array as the saloon including the cheap 190HP 2.2-liter turbodiesel all the way up to a 510HP turbocharged V8 gas for the range-topping XF-R style, which was lately verified by Jaguar's primary developer, Ian Callum.

Look for the arrival of the new XF Sportbrake at a significant worldwide powerplant display next season.
