Acura CSX: Canada's Posh Honda Civic Sedan

As some of you viewers correctly talked about in our publish on the future 2013 Acura ILX lightweight automobile, the TSX is not Acura's most affordable providing in South The united states. This stunning headline goes to the Canada industry CSX.

It doesn't take much to see that the CSX and the past, 9th technology of the Ford Social automobile are one and as well without some hidden appearance changes at the entrance and at the back, and a more classy inside with all the accessories ticked.

Introduced in overdue 2005, the CSX gotten some small improvements over the decades most significant of which was Acura's beak-like grill last year.

It was at first provided with 1 powerplant choice, a 2.0-liter iVTEC with 155HP, but in 2007, Acura unveiled a sportier Type-S design providing Honda's 2.4-liter four-banger with 197HP. The Kind S design was decreased from the collection truly. Currently, the CSX is provided only with the 155HP 2.0-liter model.

The CSX is only available and designed in United states with costs beginning from CA$24,190 [US$23,610]. For sources reasons, in United states, the Acura TSX begins from CA$31,890 and the 2012 Ford Social from CA$14,190 (with a 140HP 1.8L engine).

It is thought that the future Acura ILX, which will be display in Detroit in The month of january 2012, will be using the Social, though we still don't know if it will be a identical offer to the CSX or an entirely different design that merely stocks its foundation with Honda's lightweight design.

2012 Honda Civic Si getting new 2.4L engine with 200 hp

Honda gave us a preview of its 2012 Civic at this year’s Detroit Auto Show, and while the car we saw on stage was technically a “concept,” we expect the production car to look very similar, albeit with more conventional wheels, headlamps, and, you know, an interior. Instead of just showing one Civic, Honda brought out both a sedan and Si coupe concept, and now our friends at Temple of VTEC have reportedly confirmed that a new 2.4-liter mill is on deck for the sportiest of Civics.

Known internally as “K24,” the 2.4-liter engine slated for Civic Si use will be very similar to the powerplant currently used in the Acura TSX. No official power numbers have been divulged, but this engine currently makes 201 horsepower in the TSX, so we’ll bet that Civic Si output will be somewhere between 200 and 210 hp. That isn’t a huge increase over the 197 hp currently available from the Si’s 2.0-liter four, but the 2.4-liter engine should prove to be a bit torquier. Look for something along the lines of 170 pound-feet in the 2012 model, whereas the current car only produces 139 lb-ft of twist.

Official data will be revealed closer to the Civic family’s launch later this year. And while these new Si numbers aren’t leaps and bounds better than what’s currently available, the easily flickable driving dynamics and rev-happy power should still make it an engaging steer.

2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon

Brush your long, grungy mop from your eyes, turn down the Nirvana and take a look around. It’s the early ’90s and an army of sport utility vehicles are flooding the streets. The newest four-wheeled object of America’s affection has quickly become the default mode of transportation for everyone from inner city professionals to suburban soccer moms.

Fast forward a couple of decades and although sport utes are still around, they’ve largely been displaced by the crossover – the SUV’s easier-to-maneuver, more fuel efficient and more comfortable unibody progeny. But even after years of refinement, the CUV is still a basketcase of compromises. Which begs the question: Did we have it right back in the day? Is a wagon still the best compromise of size, functionality and driving dynamics? We snagged the keys to a 2011 Acura TSX Sports Wagon to find out.
