Ford to Preview New Global Model with a Concept at 2012 New Delhi Auto Show

The Auto Expo 2012 that takes place in New Delhi, India, from January 7 to 11, will serve as the backdrop for the presentation of a new, but as of yet unnamed, concept model from Ford.

The Detroit-based carmaker won't reveal any specific details about the study but said that it will preview an all-new vehicle planned for introduction in India as well as other global markets in the very near future.

For the time being, we only get a single cropped image of the concept's front end, but it is believed that it shows a small five-door crossover model based on the Fiesta platform.

Ford said that the new vehicle will be the latest One Ford global product and it has been deigned to help expand the company's footprint in the world's fastest-growing auto markets, including India. The new model will be the second of eight products that the Blue Oval plans to bring to India by 2015.

Nissan Confirms New Pathfinder and All-Electric Van Concepts for Detroit Show

As we're approaching closer to the 2012 edition of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9, more automakers are slowly rolling out their plans to create some additional buzz around their products.

Today, Nissan confirmed that it's presence at the show will be highlighted by the worldwide debut of two concept vehicles, including a Pathfinder preview study and an all-electric van prototype.

Nissan says that the Pathfinder SUV concept previews the production model's "all-new look, style and attitude" adding that it will go on sale in the States in fall of 2012.

The Japanese carmaker's second concept model doesn't have a name yet, but according to Nissan, the van study previews a future production version of a pure electric model "designed to provide businesses or families with flexible, roomy cargo space, while offering a dramatic CO2 footprint reduction".

Nissan plans to release the complete skinny on both concepts, so stay tuned.
