New Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar Heads to the Detroit Auto Show

Joining the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week will be a second Mopar creation, this time based on the Chrysler 200 sedan called the Super S.

There are two available kits that improve the Chrysler 200 sedan's looks and handling respectively and which can be ordered together.

"The Super S is Mopar's interpretation of the Chrysler 200," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. "The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200."

For Stage One, Mopar's team developed an appearance package that includes a large chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim, grille surround and mesh in the upper and lower grilles, new side sills, satin chrome belt moldings, black chrome "200" badges and gray or hyper black 18-inch "S" alloy wheels.

A new trunk lid spoiler along with a satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with attached exhaust openings complete the more aggressive look.

While there aren't any upgrades for the engine, Stage Two adds a coil-over suspension that also lowers the ride height, along with a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust system.

The Super S packages will be available for order in the U.S. this spring.

2011 Dodge Avenger Rally Guise Received, But Why?

Participate Mopar '11 Charger Special to the New York Auto International Show next week, the new Dodge Avenger rally car that announces the first collaboration with the brand recently announced relationship with the subsidiary of the Fiat Group, Magneti Marelli aftermarket parts specialist. Mopar and Magneti Marelli engineers started with a stock 2011 Dodge Avenger, which was stripped to the bone and are equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with improved cold air intake to increase power from 283 hp to 300 cap. The elimination of various features on 200-pound weight reduction.

Engineers have added a high performance Mopar / Magneti Marelli braking system, which allows the driver to activate both rear brakes with a suspension Mopar / Magneti Marelli modified falling ride height by 1.5 inches. The rally-prepared Avenger rides on unique Mopar / Magneti Marelli 18-inch alloy racing wheels wrapped in Pirelli rubber. Outside of the car is finished in glossy black and has a Mopar / Magneti Marelli graphics wrap with a rear spoiler, hood and splash

Features a ring removed within 8 points Mopar screen, racing seats with racing 5-point harness, steering wheel and foot diamond plate and OMP. There is also a center console built for this purpose and the console with a compact, high performance data recorder 1 GB and integrated GPS and inertial platform real-time calculation of pitch and roll.

According to Peter Gorlier, CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand, some parts of the building may have served accessories catalog company in the near future. "We will assess the reaction to this vehicle and what parts will go to production," said Gorlier.

SEMA Preview: Hyundai Veloster Another Treatment To Be Ready Tuner

Hyundai Veloster join ARK Performance Turbo on the ground SEMA this year will be another version of the specially tuned sports sedan from South Korean automaker, since it is produced by the company's digital distribution of media and publisher of the magazine destroyed Lifestyle PM.
