Lexus Shows Off LF-LC Sports Coupe

Lexus' most recent creation, the LF-LC Sports Coupe Concept, is set to debut in less than a week from now at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but that hasn't stopped the Japanese company from dropping a couple more fresh pictures for our viewing pleasure.

Toyota's luxury division still won't say what's hiding under the LF-LC's long hood, though we do know for a fact that it's a hybrid powertrain.

So what else do we know about the concept model? Well, according to the Japanese firm's Spartan press release, it was penned at the company’s Calty studio in Newport Beach, California and it's supposed to preview the next evolution of Lexus' design language - and that's about all we get for now.

As always, we'll be following the story and update you as soon as we get more information and/or another set of photos.

Damaged McLaren MP4-12C Pops up for Sale, would You Buy it?

Ron Dennis' newest creation, the McLaren MP4-12C, only went on sale in Europe this past spring but we're already seeing the first crashed examples showing up on the used car market.

This silver colored MP4-12C was registered in Holland on August 2011 and covered only 4,000 kilometers (2,486 miles) before its owner drove it into what may have been a ditch judging by the dirt up front and the damage to the car.

The seller says that the British supercar has a cracked windshield and bumper, several scratches while both airbags went off.

The negotiable asking price is €129,500 (about US$169,100 at today's exchange rates). We don't know the MP4-12C's precise MSRP in Holland, but McLaren has said that it costs from €200,000 in the EU.

So, take a look at the photos and tell us what you think; is it worth the hassle for its asking price?

Faralli & Mazzanti Launches Ultra-Exclusive Evantra Supercar

Luca Mazzanti is a 37-year old (soon to be 38, actually, since his birthday is on January 1st) Italian who was born in Tuscany and, like many a young boy, dreamed about building his own supercar one day.

The difference between Mazzanti and almost every other boy that has the same thoughts is that Luca didn’t grow out of it, but instead focused on making his dream come true.

Since the early 1990's, he has been worked with Mario Faralli, who had a 20-year experience in restoring rare cars such as the Cisitalia 202, the Ferrari 500 Mondial, and the “Il mostro” Maserati 450 Costin/Zagato that Stirling Moss drove in the 1957 Le Mans endurance race.

In 2001, the design and creation of a “barchetta” for a client along led to the creation of F&M (Faralli and Mazzanti) Auto, which undertakes special personal projects, such as the Antas and the Vulca for its customers.

That’s not really building your own supercar though, is it? That’s why after three years of collaborating with designer Zsolt Tarnok, Mazzanti is ready to launch the first ever F&M Auto production car: the Evantra.

Actually, it’s the company’s first very limited production car, since only five examples will be made, with the lucky owners being able to fully customize their own car.

They can choose between a composite or an aluminum body, a naturally aspirated or twin-turbocharged version of a 3.5-liter flat-six with 403HP and 603HP respectively – and, in the case of the hand-crafted aluminum body, make changes to the design and create a really bespoke, one-off supercar.

Honda UK Confirms Production of Supercharged CR-Z iCF

As we actually thought when Honda unveiled the Mugen CR-Z RR Research at the Goodwood Celebration of Pace 2011 previously in the summertime months, the Western carmaker verified a creation edition of its hotted-up multiple game hatch out that will go available in The united kingdom next springtime.

And for those of you questioning, unfortunately, Honda has no programs to provide the car in other areas – at least for moment.

The creation style is called CR-Z iCF and it has been designed in relationship with Mugen's Western arm. At the center of the car is a altered edition of the CR-Z's 1.5-liter multiple powertrain that results a supercharger, a new induction program and a reprogrammed ECU.

As as a consequence of these improvements, the CR-Z iCF has almost 50 % more energy than the normal car at 175PS (equal to 173HP and 177bhp) and can dash from zero to 62mph (100km/h) in just 6.1 mere a few moments or 3 mere a few moments more quickly than the common 124PS CR-Z.

In inclusion to the energy enhance, Mugen will also retune the case and change the appearance of the CR-Z within and out.

Martin Moll, Go of Honda UK's advertising split commented: "MUGEN Dollar wonder has designed a extremely sensitive yet eco-conscious style developing on our having experience and providing us the capability to participate in the "hot hatch" industry as we go into 2012."
