Dodge Expands Availability of 'Beats by Dr. Dre' Audio System to 2012 Charger

Before we delve into the details on the Chrysler Group's latest announcement, let us tell you that murdered out 2012 Charger you see in these pictures is an SXT model equipped with the available Blacktop Package.

With that out of the way, let's see what the Auburn Hills-automaker plans to debut at the upcoming 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas as well as the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, both of which kick off next week.

For the first time, the 2012 Charger will be offered with a specially developed Beats-branded, 10-speaker audio system that was designed by Chrysler Group engineers in collaboration with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

“Our goal in partnering with Beats by Dr. Dre is to integrate their recording-studio quality audio experience for our Charger enthusiasts to feel and hear their favorite music as it was intended – all while heightening the street performance and technology assets of the new 2012 Dodge Charger,” said Dodge boss Reid Bigland.

According to Dodge, the Beats Audio system will be standard equipment on the 2012 Charger R/T Max and included with the Blacktop Package and Rallye Appearance Group on the 2012 Charger SXT model.

Currently, the Chrysler Group offers the Beats Audio system as standard on the V8 Hemi-powered 300S and as an option on the V6 variants of the 300.

Fox Marketing Building 400-HP Nissan Juke Special

Nissan UK's move to shoehorn the GT-R's twin-turbocharged V6 and all-wheel drive system into the conceptual Juke-R may have very well opened Pandora's box giving independent tuning firms the confidence and a motive to create their own hi-po versions of the Japanese brand's small crossover.

Fox Marketing just announced that it's working on a new tune for the Nissan Juke that will be introduced in the coming months as part of the celebrations for the company's 12th year of creating custom cars.

"When we first saw the Nissan Juke-R that Nissan UK built, we where blown away," said the tuner. "But, to build a vehicle like the Juke-R you are talking a seven figure build budget."

So what was Fox Marketing's answer to this problem? The tuner decided to heavily modify the Juke's standard powertrain with the 1.6-liter engine gaining a huge turbo/intercooler upgrade pushing output to 400 horsepower.

Along with the engine, Fox Marketing says it will also add a new brake system with 14inch 6 piston calipers, 20-inch wheels and a more aggressive aero package plus some interior improvements such as the Yonaka Ronin racing seats up front.

Volkswagen Announces UK Pricing for its Facelifted CC Sedan

The cosmetically rejuvenated and rebranded Vw CC sports automobile that made its world initial at the Los Angeles Auto Show in Nov is available for order in The united kingdom with first customer supply due on May 16.

On the road prices start from £24,200 for the entry-level 1.8-litre TSI 160 PS, growing to £30,100 for the range-topping GT 2.0-litre TDI 170 PS design with a DSG double-clutch indication and BlueMotion Technology.

Sporting recently designed top and back ends, the CC, which was previously known as the Passat CC, is offered in two decrease levels and a choice of four applications such as the 1.8-litre TSI 160 PS and 2.0-litre TSI 210 PS petrols and a 2.0-litre TDI common track diesel-powered with either 140 or 170 PS.

AC Schnitzer Tricks Out the New MINI Cooper Coupé

As usual, it didn't take long for AC Schnitzer to release a slew of upgrades for one of the BMW Group's most recent creations, the new MINI Coupé.

While the German tuning firm is still working on the engine mods, its current offerings include several performance upgrades such as a limited slip differential with locking up to 75 percent for the Cooper S Coupé and a sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipe trim for both the Cooper S and the John Cooper Works Coupé.

There's also a high performance brake system with 4-piston fixed calipers and slotted discs, plus a height-adjustable racing suspension, a stiffer spring kit, an aluminium strut brace and rear antiroll bar for the Cooper Coupé.

All members of the MINI Coupe family can be fitted with AC Schnitzer's new 17-inch Mi 1 silver wheels or 18-inch Mi2 BiColor alloys, as well as a decal set for the exterior and gear knob with digital gear display, aluminium pedal set, foot rests, "Black Line" handbrake handle and velour foot mats for the interior.

New Chrysler 200 Super S by Mopar Heads to the Detroit Auto Show

Joining the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week will be a second Mopar creation, this time based on the Chrysler 200 sedan called the Super S.

There are two available kits that improve the Chrysler 200 sedan's looks and handling respectively and which can be ordered together.

"The Super S is Mopar's interpretation of the Chrysler 200," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. "The extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts enhances the performance and appearance of our Chrysler 200."

For Stage One, Mopar's team developed an appearance package that includes a large chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim, grille surround and mesh in the upper and lower grilles, new side sills, satin chrome belt moldings, black chrome "200" badges and gray or hyper black 18-inch "S" alloy wheels.

A new trunk lid spoiler along with a satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with attached exhaust openings complete the more aggressive look.

While there aren't any upgrades for the engine, Stage Two adds a coil-over suspension that also lowers the ride height, along with a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust system.

The Super S packages will be available for order in the U.S. this spring.

New 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition with 3.6-liter V6

Chrysler continues to expand its offerings for the new 300 sedan with the introduction of a new V6 option for the Luxury Edition, which will be available in addition to the range-topping 300C Luxury Series featuring a 363 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.

The 300 Luxury Edition is powered by the regular model's 292HP 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine matched to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

As with the HEMI-powered Luxury Edition, the V6 model sports a slew of bespoke extras highlighted by the liberal use of leather throughout the interior.

Aside from the Black or two-tone Mochachino seats that are wrapped in Nappa leather and include 12-way power-adjustable front seats with two-mode ventilation and two-mode heated seats for both front and rear passengers, the Luxury model gets the same leather treatment for the dashboard, center console, door panels, armrest and steering wheel.

Furthermore, the interior package includes die-cast paddle shifters, Natural Pore Mocha wood trim in a matte finish, an infotainment and navigation system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, LED-illuminated instrument cluster with driver-selectable colors, power-adjustable steering wheel column and pedals, chrome door sills, dual heated/cooled cup holders, ambient lit foot well lighting, LED illuminated interior door handles and front and rear map pockets plus premium carpeted trunk mat.

On the outside, the Luxury package adds 20-inch polished face (RWD) or 19-inch (AWD) alloy wheels, plus platinum chrome fascia accents, exterior mirror caps and door handle accents.

Both the V6- and V8-powered Chrysler 300 Luxury Series models will go on sale next February.

Subaru Unleashes Crown Jewel of JDM Impreza STi Series with New S206

The good news for those who want to burn some money on a set of hot wheels is that Subaru has unwrapped a new special edition of its Impreza STI sport sedan called the S206. The bad news is that only 300 will be built, but all cars will be available only in Japan.

Subaru advertised as "the crown of STI tuned cars," the new Impreza WRX STI S206 following previous versions "S" as S203, S204 and S205.

So it's special for a new model of the TSI? Well, starter batteries, S206 uses the exclusive Bilstein shock absorbers, coil springs STi, flexible, front tower bar and draw a reinforcement, which promise to improve response accuracy and speed of the car when cornering.

S206 to ride the new 19-inch BBS alloy wheels, which were designed exclusively for this model, and is shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Under the bonnet, engineers have perfected the STi turbo flat-four, the weight balance between optimization of the pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft to enhance the feeling rev.

Not only that, since the 2.0-liter also gains to be ECU, upgraded twin-scroll turbocharger and reduced exhaust system pressures, which help to increase production 320HP and 431 Nm (318 lb-ft).

Subaru also claims that the S206 is faster and the response of the throttle delivers more low-end torque and mid-range offer better maneuverability.

The lower front spoiler and front grille, side skirts and a rear spoiler than it was designed exclusively for S206 helps to improve the aerodynamics and to distinguish normal from sexually transmitted diseases, and the exclusive leather steering wheel, Recaro seats with red seat belts and STI designed to push the motor switch to complete the changes.

Subaru has also developed a special challenge for NBR Pack S206, remember that the Japanese enterprise-class victory in the Nürburgring 24 hours endurance.

It has a carbon fiber roof and a rear spoiler and Nurburgring Challenge label and a red door sills, and will be available in 100 units - or, rather, would be available if all the 100 cars had not already been said in Japan ...
