So, How Much Does a Nissan 370Z Coupe Cost Where You Live?

During a trip abroad or while surfing on the internet, at one point or the other you probably compared prices of goods offered in your own country with those in other regions. And naturally, you may have noticed that prices can vary greatly from one country to the other.

Being that for most of people, a car is the second most expensive purchase you will ever make after you house; it's interesting to see the price differences between various countries around the world.

To make a fair comparison, we had to pick a model that was available in only one engine option globally. For those of you that have been with us for a while, you may remember that we made a price comparison with the Nissan 350Z back in late 2007.

Some four years later, we decided to revisit the subject with the 350Z's successor, the 370Z Coupe, in its base version and not taking into consideration the possible equipment variations in each market. The exchange rates are from January 16.

The price chart that follows makes for an interesting read as let’s just say that, in the least expensive market, you could buy six (!) 370Zs for the price of one in the most expensive country.

On a side note, if you don't see your country listed below and you happen to be aware of the base price of the 370Z Coupe in your region, feel free to add it in our comments section.

Nismo Whips up a Nissan Micra Concept for the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon

Following on from the recent presentations of the Juke Nismo Concept and the LEAF Nismo Concept, Nissan's in-house performance division has now crafted a conceptual study based on one of the Japanese firm's smallest models, the latest generation of the Micra (called March in Japan) that debuts at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon.

Nismo used the five-door version of the Micra as a base developing a full body kit that comprises of a modified front grille incorporated into a newly designed front bumper with a separate spoiler, matching side skirts, a roof spoiler, a new rear bumper with a diffuser and finally, different exterior mirrors.

Similar to the Juke Nismo study, the supermini is painted in Nismo's signature colors with a pearl white exterior highlighted by red accents.

Inside, Nissan tells us (as we don't get any photos) that Nismo has added purpose-designed sports seats and steering wheel.

Performance modifications include a lowered sports suspension and larger diameter wheels along with a custom exhaust system.

Fox Marketing Building 400-HP Nissan Juke Special

Nissan UK's move to shoehorn the GT-R's twin-turbocharged V6 and all-wheel drive system into the conceptual Juke-R may have very well opened Pandora's box giving independent tuning firms the confidence and a motive to create their own hi-po versions of the Japanese brand's small crossover.

Fox Marketing just announced that it's working on a new tune for the Nissan Juke that will be introduced in the coming months as part of the celebrations for the company's 12th year of creating custom cars.

"When we first saw the Nissan Juke-R that Nissan UK built, we where blown away," said the tuner. "But, to build a vehicle like the Juke-R you are talking a seven figure build budget."

So what was Fox Marketing's answer to this problem? The tuner decided to heavily modify the Juke's standard powertrain with the 1.6-liter engine gaining a huge turbo/intercooler upgrade pushing output to 400 horsepower.

Along with the engine, Fox Marketing says it will also add a new brake system with 14inch 6 piston calipers, 20-inch wheels and a more aggressive aero package plus some interior improvements such as the Yonaka Ronin racing seats up front.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder Study Shows its Face and Tail

Just moments ago, it was Toyota that teased its upcoming NS4 Concept car, and now it's Nissan's turn to peel some layers off its next Pathfinder before its world debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show that begins (for the press) on January 9th.

Following the release of a single darkened image of the Pathfinder concept's profile in the third week of December, Nissan issued two new photos that reveal the crossover's face and rear end.

Even though the Japanese company insists on calling it a concept, it's evident from these photos the Pathfinder that we'll see in Detroit won't differ much if not at all from the production model set to go on sale in North America next fall. And let's not forget that Nissan's luxury arm Infiniti did the same thing with the JX crossover last year.

The pictures disclose a more modern but also a softer and much less rugged look than the current model.

If you're wondering why, Nissan says that the new 7-seater model "takes all of Pathfinder’s traditional SUV hallmarks and wraps them in a new platform and dramatic new aerodynamic design," which means the Japanese company has abandoned the current model's body-on-frame construction for a unibody design turning the Pathfinder into a crossover.

Nissan has not offered any additional information, but expect the Pathfinder to be powered by the firm's VQ series V6 linked to a CVT with all-wheel drive being optional.

We’ll bring you more details and pictures on the Pathfinder as soon as we have it.

Fast & Furious Movie Set Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Replica up for Sale

When it comes to hopped-up rides and movies, the Fast & Furious franchise is king. And while the series hasn't been showered with awards, it has its own cult following, which gives some added value to any vehicle that appeared in the films.

Found on eBay is this 1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R replica, which the seller claims was one of many cars used in the Fast and Furious films.

More specifically, here's what the seller says in the description: "Used for the Fast and Furious Movie set, this Skyline features a 2.5 Liter Turbo engine producing 280 Horsepower. Transmission shifts beautifully, Interior is in excellent condition."

As is common in the Fast & Furious franchise, this particular (right-hand drive) model is a replica based on the JDM Nissan Skyline GT-T that was modded to look like a R34 Skyline GT-R.

If you're interested, the 'Buy it Now' price on eBay is $39,999 and the car comes with a California Title.
