Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec Concept Bows in Detroit



Making its world initial with the regular variations of the all-new Chevy Sonic sub-compact at the Detroit Display today is a Z-Spec-badged strategy research of the five-door hatchback style.

In a similar fashion to the Z-Spec 2011 Cruze , Voltage and Kindle minicar viewed at the SEMA Display last We have seen, the Sonic Z-Spec shows a possible array of factory-engineered extras. The parts seen on the strategy could be obtained professionally, to suit buyer choices and costs, but could also spawn a limited-edition edition from Chevy in the near future.

The Detroit Display research is completed in a dark-colored colour job with different red details such as the BBS aluminum tires, the top side grille encompass, the higher part of the showcases and the top side, plus the sporting lines. The car is also installed with a body kit that consists of a front side and back attire, and side dresses, while the larger opera fatigue longest tail tube does the look.

Inside, the Sonic Z-Spec features a two-tone color style with bravo buckskin sports chairs, rim features and gearbox, associated by a guitar dark-colored reduce on the center system and opportunities.

Chevrolet has not yet given a generate on the operation improvements, but evaluating from the replacement associates highlighted on appearance just above the musician sections, the Z-Spec style should feature Brembo-sourced tires, a Borla activity fatigue system, a K&N filtration and an activity revocation from Pedders.

Report: Skoda planning VW Up-based minicar?


According to Inside Line, Skoda is jumping into the minicar game with a little help from parent companyVolkswagen. The Czech automaker is set to introduce a new model based on the same platform as the VW Up, with production gearing up toward the fall of 2011.


The vehicle doesn’t have a name as of yet, but according to the report, the pint-sized machine is slated to be built at Volkswagen’s Bratislava manufacturing facility. When it rolls off the production line, it will come packing an efficient 65-horsepower 1.0-liter gasoline engine, though a 75-horsepower 1.2-liter diesel mill will also be available at the time of launch.


Later down the line, there’s word that Skoda will bring an all-electric version to the party as well. The baby Skoda is being designed to lock horns with the Toyota iQ and Peugeot 107, and Inside Line is reporting that it will likely carry a price tag of around $9,300 when it debuts.
