The New Plant Will Start Production In Vietnam Mazda2



Mazda held in the opening of Vietnam today to celebrate the beginning of the composition of the local model Mazda2.

The new factory is located in Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam province in central Vietnam, and was built in Vina Mazda Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., 100 percent local machine assembly, and sale of the company, no capital ties with Mazda Motor Corporation.

Last March it will begin selling Mazda vehicles, fully integrated in Vietnam, including the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 and CX-9, which imported from Japan, and Thailand-source BT-50 pick-up.

The decision of the local assembly of the Mazda2 was taken in August. The 75,000 square meters of the local plant, which has an annual production capacity of 10,000 units, will build the 1.5-liter 5-door version of the city at an annual rate of 2,000 cars.

"We are confident that the Mazda2 will be warmly welcomed by Vietnamese customers, despite the compact car segment very competitive," says Executive Vice President Kanai.

"Vietnam is one of the largest markets in the ASEAN region, with a large population of young and promising economic development in recent years. Mazda is strengthening its support of our local manufacturers and distributors to ensure our success in Vietnam , "he added.
