Less than a month after the wraps off the regular models CL-Class facelift, Mercedes-Benz has gone ahead and revealed the tip of the versions of über luxury coupe, CL63 and CL65 AMG 2011 models. Both cars have their world premiere at the Paris Motor Show and arrive in showrooms in November Americans.
Outside, there are some subtle touches of style in both AMG models, including redesigned front bumper with LED daytime running lights, plus the "V" shaped grille, hood strip, headlamps and a redesigned rear bumper barrier exhaust with new style. The revisions are limited to the new steering wheel, high quality materials and finishing options for color.
The most important changes, however, are in areas you can not see. Starting with the CL63 AMG comes from the old 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 and is smaller, lighter, more powerful 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo direct injection, connection to an AMG 7-speed automatic Speedshift.
In its standard form, it churns 536HP at 5500 rpm and 590 lb-ft of torque from 2000 to 4500 rpm CL63 AMG from zero to 60 mph (96 kph) in 4.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km per hour).
Add the optional AMG Performance Package, and the output rises to 563HP and 664 lb-ft of torque allowing the coupe to reach 60 mph (96km / h) mark in 4.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph ( 299 kmh).
Mercedes says that despite the increased power and torque, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are reduced by about 27 percent and 30 percent respectively compared to the previous V8.
