2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Scooped from Every Angle, New 3.8-liter V6 GDI Confirmed

Less than 24 hours after we brought you the first official pictures of the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, which gave us a partial picture of the renovated sports car and a bunch of pictures showing the rear-wheel drive model inside and arose out of South Korea's Forum Hankyung.

As we have already spoken out of the nose, including more aggressive updates based on the Veloster of inspiration, as well as redesigned taillights and a reshaped trunk lid again, these photos provide a first look inside.

Look at the shape of the dashboard and instrument panel remains the same, the design and lower center console, including the screen infotainment are brand new. Hyundai has completely revamped the air conditioning and audio systems, and added three indicators just below the radio controls.

It should be noted that the car you see here is a specification of the South Korean model, but these changes are more likely to pass the North American version as well.

The images also confirm our suspicions that Hyundai will replace the current standard 3.8-liter V6 engine V6 with newer and more sophisticated with a similar output, but with direct injection (GDI) technology, which it made on the 2012 Genesis Sedan facelifted earlier this year.

Logically, the 3.8-liter V6 GDI must offer the same 333 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque in the sedan Genesis. The current 3.8-liter V6 produces 306hp and 266 lb-ft

Moreover, in addition to a 6-speed manual transmission, GDI will probably be offered with Hyundai new 8-speed automatic instead of the current model is unity 6SP.
