2012 Volkswagen Beetle: The Bug Is On The Rise



Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the newest third-generation Volkswagen Beetle that was unpacked today before its world premiere at the Auto Expo 2011 in Shanghai and New York Auto Show. The final interpretation of the ruling comes 73 years after launching the original Beetle in 1938, which sold a staggering 21.5 million units, and 13 years after the beginning of the New Beetle in 1998, which managed to sell just over 1 million units until production ended in 2010.

If the rest of the world, including Asia, Australia, Europe and New Zealand, the New Beetle is offered only to turbocharged four-cylinder, all of which are used for the first time in the Beetle.

Fuel choices include a 1.2 liter TSI with 105 hp, a 1.4-liter 160hp TSI service and a 200hp 2.0 liter TSI production. The range includes a 1.6 liter diesel with 105 hp and 140 hp unit. According to VW, with the addition of on / off and battery regeneration systems Beetle 1.6-liter 105 bhp estimated at a combined fuel consumption of 4.3 lt/100km (equal to 54.7 mpg 65.7 mpg or U.S. to England) and CO2 emissions 112 g / km.

The five engines can be combined with a dual clutch transmission as an option.
